Surgery...=.="

There should be some "handsome" downstairs...=.="

Coco is Back...Watch Out...!!

Yesterday, when i chat with my parents through IDD, my mum told me that Coco did a surgery few weeks ago. Oh My God...what's happen?...

As you've kept watching my blog, you should know that Coco is already 8 years old. I am not saying that her health is going bad, she's still very healthy and cheery. But her teeth, started to have problems. She did a teeth surgery when she was 6 years old. She had two decayed teeth which are the two molars. Therefore, she had to go to the pet dental to remove those molars. The dentist told us that we have to keep her teeth clean by cleaning her teeth everyday using toothbrush and toothpaste. Otherwise, she will lost her teeth easily as time go pass.

So we kept cleaning her teeth everyday since then. Unfortunately, she had decayed teeth again few weeks ago. And this time, she lost another two molars. What's a poor girl @.@...

***So, to all of you who have dog(s), remember, Clean their teeth everyday.!!***

Virtual Friends - Critique

Have you ever tried to make friends from the Internet?

Before the internet era, people usually make friends through some "social meetings" or introduced by other friends...they usually had dinner and parties together and they usually meet each other face to face.

However, since the development of the internet, people started to meet others by sitting in front of the computer, chatting with other through ICQ, MSN, Yahoo! Messager or some other chatrooms. They start to meet friends virtually. Today, i went to my favourite to search some of the postes... and this post is quite interesting which is the "Meet Your Virtual Friends". It is one of the post in the "The Thinking Blog".

According to this post:

"Online discussions sometimes result in exchanging emails. We start developing something that can be called 'friendship' and many times we start feeling there is some higher level of connection. Be it similar views, similar personalities or familiar life situations, sometimes these 'friendships' also develop because we are learning something new from each other. Learning from each other is a big aspect of blogging and I feel most people are blogging because they do like meeting like minded people."

In fact, i quite agree with this idea. It's because since the development of internet, blogging is one of the good way to meet more people from other countries. Through the blogs, you can know more about the bloggers and sometimes you can learn from them. Not only receiving the ideas, you can also reply them by submitting your comments. If the bloggers or other agree or disagree with what you said, they will keep replying. Therefore, you can have a good chance to meet more people and learn more.

In my experience, when i started to use internet around 10 years ago, i would like to use ICQ to chat with others. ICQ is a very good tool to connect with the world. You can add someone from other countries like USA, UK, German or some local people. When i firstly use ICQ, i just chat with my friends who have also connected to the internet. But as time go pass, someone from other countries started to add me. Therefore, i have to learn and use English to chat with them.

As i remember, the first foreigner who added me was a girl from London. She was a student too. So, when we saw each other online in ICQ, we started chatting. The topic was usually about our lives in our country. Therefore, i knew more about England culture without went there directly. I am really glad to meet her. Unfortunately, i lost contact with her when i turned to use MSN...=.="... It's my good experience to meet friend from the net.

However, when i used ICQ for longer time, i found that some people who added you were actually cheating. Why i said they were cheating is because, for example, some of them will act as girls but in fact they were boys and some of them were actually telling lies to deceive money. Luckily, i didn't get into their traps. Therefore, after i knew that many people using internet to cheat others, i started not to add others who i don't know. Although i lose a chance to know people from other countries, i prefer protecting myself as to avoid any cheating happened.

Finally, i hope all of you guys can be more careful in meeting friends from the Internet. Be more careful when you try to add someone who you don't know in ICQ or MSN~ ^.^...Using Blog instead of them~haha~

"Total lunar eclipse" - 月全蝕~

Can you see the difference between this three photos?

This week, i let Coco to take a rest, i'm not going to talk about her...~

On this Tuesday night (28/8), there was a big news in Sydney or even in the world...What's that news?...haha...that's the "Total Lunar Eclipse". The previous ""Total Lunar Eclipse" was in 2000. Actually, i knew this news before Tuesday. So when i got home after a little shopping in Westfield, i immediately had dinner and took bath. But after i finished everything, it's already 8pm...So i took my lovely Camera out, set the Tripod in the backyard of my house and waited for this "memorable" moment.

But when i look at the moon, it already turned in "Orange-Red" color. Therefore, i took the photos at once (see the first photo. i took that at 8:15pm). I was really excited and i phoned Ms. Da to ask her to look at this. Coz, the scene was really very beautiful!! (Huh~~ Do you agree?). In fact, that's my first time to see the "Total Lunar Eclipse". A few minutes later, my other 4 house-mates came to the backyard as well. We sat, chatted and laughed under the moon in the backyard together. Haha...the whole backyard immediately fulled of fun.

I watched for this "eclipse" for 90 mins and i took many photos (I wanna watch more longer time, but i couldn't, coz i still haven't finished Ros's assignment which due the next day...=.="). In this 90 mins, i could see that the moon was firstly in "Orange-Red", as time went pass, it became darker and darker (see the 2nd photo). An hour later, the moon is totally covered by the sun and i phoned Da again. (Unfortunately, She didn't pick up my call...). Few minutes later, i saw there was some bright light at the edge of the moon. That's mean, the moon is coming out and the whole process was coming to the end. *She finally called me back but you know, she missed the wonderful scene...@.@...Do you know, the next "Total lunar eclipse" will happen in 4 years later (10/12/2011 11:45pm Aus time).

Anyway, i was very happy to have this chance to watch this "eclipse". Some of my friends and even my dad asked me about this and i told them i did watch, they were all very jealous. Coz, the weather in HK was really bad, raining and Thunderstorms. They couldn't even see the moon...What a shame~~~ =.="... Doesn't matter lol, see the 3 photos in this blog as a compensation....hahaha...^.^v

*Haha...no worries, i have already got the wonderful photos, so in fact you didn't miss any moment. V^o^V...

Do you know what i mean?

A sexy pose...

Do you know what i mean?...Yes, i do...!

Doggy knows what you are talking about!...Why i say that is because Coco knows what my family and i said...! Sometimes, when she has been being naughty, for example, she pissed on the sofa or she made something broken, and i told my dad about that (because she scares of my dad), she seemed knowing that i was talking about her. She would just find somewhere to hide herself as to avoid my dad's punishment.

Also, when we were talking about food in "Cantonese", such as rice, veges or biscuits, she would come to us, shaking her little tail. Because she thought that we would give her something to eat. What a smart and silly dog...~~ XD...

But one thing which i find Coco really knows is she can read our face expression. When you are happy and smile, she will do something which makes you want to play with her. For example, she will give you her toys and ask you do the "throw and fetch". Then she will become happy too. On the other hand, when you feel upset and not smile on that day, she will just keep silent and keep away from you. As i remember around 2 years ago, there was a short period which i found really depressed and extremely down. (coz there was something happened with my family). I didn't smile, talk and even play with Coco. I used to lock myself in the bedroom.

During that period, Coco seemed to know that i wasn't that happy. So, she barked less, not being naughty. One day, she scratched on my door and just like knocking my door. Therefore, i opened the door and she just came in and sat on my knees. I remember her face (eyes) expression was just telling me that she wanna know what's going on with me. So, i embraced her and started to talk to her. She didn't resist me and let me embraced her until i finished my long talk. I told her my what made me down..babababa, so on and so on. After my long talk, she licked my hand, my cheeks and acting like a spoiled child. At that moment, i was really touching...Although she can't speak, her action really made me feel warm. She was my really good "listener"...

So, after that period, if i feel down or upset/have secrets want to share, i will talk with her. Coz i know that she won't feel i am bore and can keep my secrets.

*hahaha...if anyone wanna know my secrets, try asking Coco...XDDDDDDD

Beautiful = Willful ?

The part that i like the most of Coco - Her pair of Eyes

What do you think of a "beautiful girl"?...Cool, stubborn
, with absolute self-confidence, strong self-esteem? According to my own "Beauty Observation" theory, i agree that most of the beauties have the above conditions...

Why i said that is because in my view, Coco is an extremely beautiful female Schnauzer. She has a pair of big and
spherical eyes, long eyelash which is a very feminine trait, a very "model liked" body shape, 4 beautiful shape legs, glossy hair...Although she is now 8 years old, but she still looks like a cute baby...

Her temperament is very like a "beautiful girl". She has a very fastuous and obstinate nature. For example, if you want her to do something like "Sit" or "Give hand", but she hasn't got a good "mood", she won't listen to your "orders". She will just keep sleeping or she'll simply walk away without looking at you. Ok, you will ask that why don't i give her some snacks or punishments as to attract or force her to follow my orders?...but i can say, i tried that before and it doesn't always work. Because, she is not that easy to be yielded and she has her own thought. If she doesn't want to do that, no one can force or lure her by gain. She's that stubborn!!

In my opinion, i don't mind she has this nature. Oppositely, i am glad that she has this nature. Because having own through and will not be easily lured by gain is very charming! To have this stubborn nature, it means that you won't be easily attracted by beneficial offer. You know what you need, what you want to be, what you want to have and no one can change you thought in such an easy way... "The more beautiful she is, the more willful she will be..." (Alan^.^v, 2007)

What can she "do"?

Look at her!!...how "lazy" she is......

"Coco is a smart and cute doggy." (Alan, 2007:1)...

As she was 4 months old, and we firstly saw her in the pet shop, the shopkeeper showed us what she've already learned. As i remember, she've learned "Sit", "Give Hand" and "Fall flat on the ground
"...Most of the dog owners said, if you wanna the dog learn more techniques, you should teach it before it is 2 years old. It is because they have the highest learning ability.

Therefore, after Coco became our family member, my dad has already taught her as many as he wanted Coco to do, such as "Give right hand", "Give Left hand", "Give both hands", "Sit" (like a Fortune Cat) and "Turn". The most excellent technique that Coco knows is acting like a "dead body". (in fact, we don't know who taught her about that) She usually uses this technique when she did something naughtily. For example, if we discovered that she urinated on the sofa or on the floor and she heard we called her name, she would immediately act like a "dead-body" which means she knew she did wrongly and asked for forgiveness.

Another technique which Coco knows is she can differentiate Hong Kong dollar notes. Coz one day, my mum gave me pocket money which has 2 $100 dollar notes (red in color) and 1 $1000 dollar note (yellow in color). I put one $100 and $1000 note on the floor and asked Coco to pick one. She immediately chose the $100 note. Ok...you can say she picked that randomly without thinking, but after i put a $10 note (green in color) together with these 2 notes at the same time but in different order, she still chose the $100 one. Then, i kept back the $100 note in my hand and left the $10 and $1000 notes on the floor, this time, she didn't choose any and scratched my hand and wanted back the $100 one. After this little test, i found out that Coco like $100 note rather than others maybe due to the color of the notes.

Haha, anyway, to you who have doggies at home, what techniques have your doggies learned?...Let share with me, see your dog is smarter or my Coco is smarter...XDDDDDD

Her way of Living~

That's one of her favorite toys (The yellow one)

Each creature has their own way of living. Coco has her own living style as well...Today, i am going to share her living habit with you, especially to you who have doggies at home~Basically, she has a very regular and ordinary living style. Most of the time, she just stays at home and we don't take her out of the street. It is because we want her to keep away of the "flea". We tired to let her walk on the street once and after she's back home, we discovered that there were many "flea" entwined her legs. The scene was so horrible and we had to use the pincer to catch the flea one by one. When my dad caught the flea, i could see that Coco was suffering painfully. Because the flea clawed tightly at her skin.

Ok...Return back to the main thesis - Coco's live style...She has already been living with us for 8 years, so i can sum up her daily activities with a "Timetable"...^.^

AM

6:00 - Wake up
6:15 - Breakfast time (The breakfast is delivered to her by my dad everyday!!!)
6:30 - Toilet time (Of coz, my dad cleans that up everyday!!)
6:35 - Go back to bed and sleep...
9:00 - Wake up again
9:15 - Scratch on my room door and try to wake me up (But it's optional, coz it depends on her mood~~)
9:30 - 1:00pm - play time (If i am home, she will ask me to play with her)

PM

1:30 - 3:30 - Nap
3:30 - Tea time ( She usually asks for a piece of snack!)
3:30 - 6:00 - 2nd Play time (Sometimes having Sun bath on the balcony)
6:15 - Waiting behind the main door for welcoming my dad home
6:30 - 7:00 - Dinner Time (Rice and Veges for dindin)
7:15 - Another Toilet time (Usually, we are having our dinner at this moment, but i have to clean it up...=.=")
7:30 - 9:00 - 3rd play time (Mainly plays with my dad) or bath time (She takes bath every two weeks)
9:00 - Night snack time (She must asks for a biscuit every night and very on-time !!!!!)
10:00 - Bed time (We usually can find her on my parent's bed, coz she sleeps with them every night !!)

See, that's her daily life at home. I can say that she can nearly follow all the items with this time-table...and i don't know why she seems can watch the clock..haha...

If you have a daily time-table, can you follow it everyday?...Personally and honestly, i can't...hahaha...XDDDDD

What is my name?

Up side down @.@ (She is sleeping when this photo is taken)

This is already the third week of writing story of my doggy. But i think, after you read the previous stories, you may ask why i use "She" and "Her" to represent my doggy. Why i don't call her name directly? Also, maybe you will think that to call my doggy as "She" or "Her" in the stories, would it be disrespectful to her?...umum, wait a minute. Be patient...Let me tell a story to you how i named "Her".

On 27th October, 1999, that was her third day in my family. She totally recovered from her sick and lives very cheery. My mum's friend who is living one level below my home has a Schnauzer too. It is a male dog whose name is Bobo. He was 3-4 years old at that time (But unfortunately, he passed away in 2006 because of illness...=_="") and he is very cute. So on that day morning, my mum and i bring "her" downstairs to let "her" meet Bobo. Guess what? when we put "her" on the floor and let "her" play with Bobo, "she" didn't scare of him. Contrarily, "she" kissed him "mouth to mouth".

"Oh my godness..." i said. How embarrssed that scene was. But my mum and her friend laughed loudly at them. After the kiss, Bobo was scared and tried to hide himself under the sofa and made some "woooo" sound (unfriendly sound) to "her". But "she" didn't give up to chase after Bobo and creeped next to Bobo. Suddenly, Bobo barked very loudly, so i embraced "her" back immediately. My mum's friend laughed at "her" and said "you kissed Bobo, so now, he is you boyfriend..."

After we were home, i laughed at "her" and said " you like Bobo, right?". My mum said it's time to give "her" a name. so i immediately suggested "Coco". My mum asked why and i said because "her" boyfriend is named "Bobo" and what followed "B" is "C" alphabetically. That's why, i called her "Coco". At first, when i said "Coco", "she" didn't have any response. So, everytime when i called "Coco", i usually got some snacks on my hand and she would come to me at once. As time went pass, i started not giving "her" any snacks but i still yelled "Coco". She seemed she knew that everytime when my family and i said the word "Coco", she would come to us.

So, that's the way i gave my doggy with the name "Coco". Coco likes her name (i think.....), because everytime we ask her to come, she shakes her tail and shows her happiness to us. (What's a cute and smart doggy....~~~)

*I told my family that if we have another doggy in the future, i will name it as "Dodo"...hahaha XDDDDD

Second Day, First Sick~~!

She is playing on the sofa which she couldn't jump off from it when she was just 4 months old.

On 26th October,1999, this was her second day in my family. Unfortunately, one thing happened to" her" on this day morning...=.="... When my father woke up on that morning (I remember, that was a Tuesday), he came out the room and went towards to "her" cage. (We kept her in the cage for that night was because we haven't taught her where to urinate...) "Ah.....What's happen with the dog?"..he screamed loudly which made me awake. So i ran out my room immediately, and i saw "her" just laid inside the cage and breathing deeply. At the moment, we didn't know what to do...so my father took her out and put her on the floor. She seemed just could move "her" eyes and looked at us hardily.

"What should we do? What's wrong with "her?" my mum was in a hurry and said. "Maybe we should give the pet shopkeeper a call and see what happen to "her"." My dad said calmly. A few minutes later, the shopkeeper answered the phone and he asked us to bring "her" back to the shop. Therefore, we caught a taxi and arrived the shop within 10 minutes. The shopkeeper saw "her" and he touched on "her" stomach. "What did you give "her" to eat last night?" the shopkeeper asked. My dad said that he gave "her" dog-food for dinner only, but he gave "her " two bowls...@.@

"You can't give that much to "her" in one time! That will make "her" stomachache." the shopkeeper said angrily. "But after "she" ate one bowl, "she" seemed not full enough. That's why i gave "her" another bowl." my dad explained. The shopkeeper told us that for a little doggy, we can just give "her" two meals only, one in the morning and one at night time as its breakfast and dinner. During each meal, we can just give "her" "ONE" bowl of dog-food only. Otherwise, "she" will get sick if she eat too much. So he gave us some pills for helping "her" to digest.

We took "her" home and gave "her" the pill. We let "her" laid on the sofa to take rest. A few hours later, "she" suddenly woke up and started barking. "She" barked because she couldn't get down to the floor as the sofa is too hight for "her" to jump down...hahaha...Therefore, i helped "her" to get on the floor and "she" started to play with "her" toys which we bought for her yesterday. (*She could bark and play which meant that she recovered already..^.^v..) After this" serious" case, we had a very valuable lesson in keeping a dog. We learned that we couldn't give too much food for it in one meal. Otherwise, it will get sick..@.@ (to be continued...)

First night - First home - First dog

Coco's first photo. She was just 2 years old...

On 25th October, 1999, there was a big change in my family. The number of family members was increased from 3 to 4...which means that there was a "newcomer" joined to my family. Yes...the newcomers is a dog, a Schnauzer.

As i remember, one week before the "newcomer" arrived my home, my family and i went to a pet shop and saw a very cute Schnauzer. The shopkeeper put "*her" on my father's solder and a few times when my father wanted to put her down, she did not let my father go. She just clawed tightly. She gave a feeling to us that "Bring me home, Bring me home, i don't want to stay here...". But finally, we put her back to the cage and left the shop. Because we were still thinking/arguing about whether that's a good idea to have a pet. Because we knew that to have a pet, we must put more time and responsibility to take care of it instead of just putting it at home.

So, during that week, my dad and i made an appointment with my mum that both of us would take care of it. But one problem came to us was that we did not know whether "she" was still at the shop or not...@.@ Therefore, my mum and i went to the shop again and luckily, that "she " was still there. When "she" saw us walked in the shop, she kept barking very loudly and her tail was shaking powerfully. She seems recognizing us. We told the shopkeeper that we wanted her to become our family member. So, after we paid the money, the shopkeeper gave her a shower. After that i embraced her and caught a Taxi home. (On the taxi, she sat on my leg very quietly and kept looking around. Honestly, that was my first time to hold a "real dog" in that close. I felt very exciting and i think she had the same feeling as mine. v^.^v)

15 minutes later, we arrived home. I put her on the floor and she started to check around. She looked at the sofa, looked at the tables, smelt at the cupboard, smelt the toilet =.=". Everything at home seems very new to her...A few minutes later, she barked at the door...Oh...it's because my dad came home. When he saw her, he was surprised. (Because my mum and i didn't tell him that we brought her home) He clawed her at once and she licked my dad's cheek <-- What a warm scene!!. My dad gave her dinner, we played with her and settled the cage for her to sleep that night... (To Be Continued...)

*She was just 4 months old at that time...
